Begüm Khan markasının kurucusu Begüm Kıroğlu için bu temalar derin bir anlam taşır. Tarihle yüklü Osmanlı sanatının ve objelerinin arasında büyüyen Kıroğlu, formu anlamın taşıyıcısı olarak görmeyi çok erken yaşlarda öğrendi.
Yıllar sonra Fudan Üniversitesi’nde Çin kültürü üzerine eğitim alıp Şanghay’da yaşarken, bu erken dönem etkiler zodyağın döngüsel ritmiyle buluştu; hayvanların insan ruhunu yansıttığı ve zamanın yenilenme üzerinden ilerlediği bir anlayışla.
